A Bit About Caroline
Caroline Walshe is a creator, mover, and artist originally from the greater Atlanta area and is now based in Brooklyn, NY. Currently in her last semester of pursuing her Bachelor in Fine Arts in Dance from Florida State University, Caroline has been honored to perform and create works for the School of Dance throughout the last three years. She performed works by George Balanchine (restaged by Suzanne Farrell), Dan Wagoner (restaged by Rachel Hunter), and others created by the esteemed faculty. Caroline had the opportunity to choreograph two works during her time with the School of Dance, with her most recent one, Concepts in Conversation, performed at the 51st Annual American College Dance Association’s South Region Conference this past March.
Caroline began her training in classical ballet and expanded her repertoire through contemporary and commercial work. She has also worked in dance documentation and dance filmmaking under the direction of Tim Glenn, creating personal concept films as well as documenting works in the proscenium. She strives to continue to grow through her movement and creative process as her career grows post-graduation in May 2024.
